MCS For Beginners I run a website for people who are new to MCS. This site gives resources for sufferers (magazines, newsletters, good sources of various types of information), catalogs, lifestyle tips, BASIC chemistry, alternative non-toxic products, typical triggers and symptoms, SSDI tips, emergency room tips, hospitalization links, and has both a bulletin board and a guestbok so you can communicate with other people with MCS. There is infomation on this site that you probably won't find on other sites, because I don't believe if guilding the lily or avoiding unpleasant topics. Believe it or not, this whole site is all done with a sense of humor! What it lacks in graphics, I make up for in high quality information. I try to give the basics and then include a decent number of links that I have personally checked out that give additional, more detailed information. Navigation around the site is quite simple (if you can use the BACK button, you are in business!), and specific pages can be be printed out if you need to do so. I have had MCS for over 8 years and I have a PhD in counseling and am a licensed architect, so all information is coming from the perspective of someone who has actually "been there, done that, and bought the tee-shirt"! I have tried very hard to keep complicated information simple, clear, and understandable in keeping with the title of the website. This is (in my humble opinion, of course!) an excellent site to start with before you get into the really complicated websites that offer more detailed information. I wish you all good luck, and all emails receive a response. My motto is, "You either get sick enough or smart enough." Sadly, I had to get sick enough to understand this illness; I wish I had gotten smart enough instead, but it's too late now.Personal counseling by phone is available for reasonable rates, although the site contains just about everything you would need to know to find anything else you need to know! However, if you still need help, send an email, and we'll work it out from there (time, day, rates, etc.).
Rural Disabled Assistance Foundation The Rural Disabled Assistance Foundation, R.D.A.F. (rhymes with raft), was created in the spring of 1997 in Tucson, Arizona to perform a service that no one else seemed to be doing - providing financial assistance, not just for emergencies, but in a sustaining manner, for persons whose basic needs fall way short of their incomes, and who can't receive help from just any good Samaritan without jeopardizing their already meager government allotment. The individuals we have committed ourselves to assisting are adults who need to live outside of the city of Tucson because their particular conditions are exacerbated by urban pollution.
Zavanah Bay The Zavanah Bay web site contains information about MCS support groups as well as forums and a photo album of some of the group members. There are other support groups listed at the site so please browse through all the service pages.
